When it comes to styling my home, I love to embrace the changing seasons and make some simple tweaks to reflect what is happening outside. Spring is one of my favorite seasons and I love all of the beautiful blooming trees and flowers I see in my neighborhood.
Textiles
Just like with my wardrobe, I like to swap out my heavier layers with things that are lighter . For example, on our sofa we have several chunky knit throw blankets that I tuck away in the Spring and switch out with lighter cotton throws.
Waffle knits are really trending in both fashion and home decor. I bought this shirt for our trip to Maui and then recently bought this blanket for our sofa. Also eyeing this one for a client's bedroom.
Another simple way to style your home for Spring is to swap out your throw pillows. You can either buy a new pillow or just buy covers for your existing ones. I gravitate to soft organic colors like pinks and terracotta's.
Florals
Hands down my favorite way to style my home is with seasonal faux floral stems. They are low maintenance and add such a dose of color and energy to every room from the powder room to the kitchen to the living room. Scents
I love Mrs Meyers cleaning products and usually buy a new scent every season. I smelled this Rose scent on a recent trip to Target and was excited to order it on Well.ca when I got home. Candles are another item I like to purchase to embrace a new season. In Spring I am all about the florals, and what better compliment to my faux floral stems than a nice flowery scented candle. I fell in love with this one from Anthropologie and then purchased this one at Urban Barn because not only did I love the vessel, but it smells gorgeous too!
